Purple Crayon Productions is a community space where children are given the opportunity to have joyful, meaningful, and satisfying experiences through visual arts and music. Their mission is to provide the town of Woodstock, Vermont and surrounding communities with a place to enjoy and participate in a wide variety of art processes.

Programs offered at Purple Crayon are designed to nurture each individual's inherent creative capacities and raise the possibility of art as a vital force in a child's overall growth and expressive abilities. Date: Wednesdays (2, 6 week sessions)
Session 1: Feb. 2 – March 16th (No Class Feb. 16th)
Session 2: March 23rd – May 4th (No Class April 20th)
Time: 3-4:30
Cost: $100.00 for 6 weeks, all materials included
Ages: 7-12
Come play with clay! Students will learn the basics of hand building with low fire clay including pinch, coil and slab construction - a wonderful way to explore the earthenware medium!

Date: Thursdays, January 27th – April 28th (No class Feb. 17th or April 21st) (12 week session)
Time: 3-5pm
Cost: $15 drop-in, $165 pre-registered for 12 weeks, all
materials included
Ages: 5-10
This is a block of supervised; loosely structured time where school aged children can explore, create and simply have a blast with a wide variety of art materials. Teachers are present to provide assistance, encouragement and inspiration. Children may be dropped off. Snacks provided.

Dates: Mondays Jan 24th – March 7th (no class Feb 14th) (6 week session)
Time: 3-5pm
Cost: $90 for 6 weeks
Ages: 7-11 (2nd-5th grade)
Quilts and pillows, cloaks and gowns, flags and elegant handbags; just a few of the items we can make in this fiber arts class. It is quite possible that there will be a spectacular fashion show at the end of the concluding class!

Dates: Mondays March 14th – April 25th ( no class April 18th) (6 week session)
Time: 3-5pm
Ages: 5-7 (kindergarten-2nd grade)
Cost: $90 for 6 weeks
This class will explore the dances and songs of birds through music and movement. Then with clay and paint, ink and pastels, cloth and paper, we will make paintings, sculptures, puppets, storybooks of our own, plus masks and costumes to celebrate our winged cousins. At the end of the final class we will offer a grand presentation of our endeavors.
