Raspberries Are In!

Pick your own fruit is a great activity with the kids on a summer day and raspberry season has arrived, YUM!  We picked some of the first ripe berries at Poverty Lane late last week and they were just delicious!  Their typical picking hours are 7-11 a.m. and then again from 4-7 p.m.  Best to call ahead first to check on the picking conditions and hours.  Poverty Lane is also offering pick your own pie cherries and currants (or at least they were last Friday), the cherries are sour but perfect for baking and cooking, however the kids ate them right off the tree, sour or not, didn't phase them.

For a list of other pick your own farms in the Upper Valley, consult the list on our site or visit Valley Food & Farm Guide for an extensive listing of farms and local products.

Happy picking and the blueberries are just around the corner!
